The Women of The Great Gatsby The Women of Fitzgerald F. Scott Fitzgerald portrays women in a negative way in his book The Great Gatsby. While each woman in the story has her own distinguishing characteristics, all of the women are shown to be elaboration off minded and bootless people. Fitzgerald shows these characteristics through the procedure of symbolism, the use of womens achieves, and/or the use of womens words. The first female character that is introduced is Daisy.
